The notch in the firewall is for the Cobra-head to the Bing carburetor.

See Alteration 08 for firewall modification.

 02: Install temp engine on engine mount to install the Engine Cowel

Pete form Jabiru sent me a used Engine to help with this setup.

 03: The Engine Cowel fit perfect without any trouble.

I removed about 1.375" from the back and it centered on the engine.
