Step 01: This Alteration is to add fairings to the stabilator

Similar to the photo on the left.
Step 02: Draw a line parallel to the aft flange of the HS-1207 ribs through the locating hole.

Draw a line parallel 3 9/16'" forward of the aft flange of the HS-1205 Ribs, Then drill a #12 hole in the center of both ribs on that line.

Perform the following steps on all four ribs.
Bolt a K1000-3 nutplate as shown in the photo on the left.
Drill one hole with a # 40 bit, then cleco that hole and drill the other hole with the same bit.
Step 03: Fabricate four reinforcement angles to fit in the appropriate locations. See Step:10
Step 04: Hold the angle behind the #40 drilled holes and center the line in the center of the holes and mark only one, then remove the angle and center punch then drill the hole with a #40 bit
Step 05: Cleco the reinforcement angle and center the line in the open holes .
Clamp the angle then match drill the #40 hole.
Step 06: Cleco the remaining #40 hole then match drill the #12 hole.
Step 07: Countersink the # 40 holes in all four reinforcement angles
Step 08: 110° Dimple die the eight #40 holes in the 2 HS-1205 and the HS1207 ribs   
Step 09: Make a template to transfer the holes into the MDF plug. 

Builder Note:
Install spacers to simulate the spar and skins.
Step 10: Rivet the four angles and nutplates to the 2 HS-1205 and the HS1207 ribs
