N7944A Fuel System
This alteration will install fuel tanks in
the wings and modify the fuel system
Builder Note: This fuel system design allows you to move fuel
from the left tank to the right tank. If you turn on the left wing's tank pump the fuel will enter and fill the header tank then exit through the vent line to the right wing. If you turn on the right wing's tank pump the fuel will enter and fill the header tank then exit through the vent line and return to the right wing and some may go to the right wing. |
The fuel valve has four positions The pointer selects where the comes from (not the handle)
* Note the left and right selection on the fuel valve should only be used at altitude to balance the fuel in the left and right tank. Never to be used on landing, take off or climb Note this page will be modified after all test flight are completed. |
This system's fuel valve should be used in
the header tank position for normal flight. To use this system in any other mode requires a total understanding of the fuel system Builder Note: if the engine fuel pump fails and header pump fails then set the fuel valve to the left tank and turn on the left & right tank pump land as soon as possible. |
